Rear Brake Hoses

Anyone know who has the proper LENGTH rear brake hoses. The last pair I bought are like an 1” or so
too long. They rub against the inner lip of my wheel rim. Very frustrating & certainly NOT safe. Thx.

I got a pair of Beck/Arnley branded hoses for my '85 many ears ago, and they were a good fit.Never mind, this is the X1/20 forum.

There was a thread on this recently
Seems like you answered your own question there ;)
But for TMH money (assuming they're correct, as no mention of length) you may as well get a full set of stainless - the monezone ones even include the necessary banjos:

MWB (Matt) has rubber & S.S. braided rear Scorp. brakes hoses. Each 10.5 “.
He notes in his listing for the rubber ones that they’re 3/4” to 1” longer than
factory. He cautions that you’ll have to use zip ties to keep them outta the
way. So if the S.S. braided ones are 10.5” long also (too long) you’ll have to
use zip ties w/those as well to keep them from rubbing on the wheel rim, etc.

Yes, I'm aware of that, which is why I suggested the Montezone ones in the link - although in the other thread you said the TMH ones were ok, but now you don't seem so sure

As per your suggestion I’m ordering hoses from MONTEZONE. Their hoses
are 250 mm which is 9.8+ inches. Way shorter than ten and a half inches.
Why I continue to torture myself w/this car escapes me. I bought it 20 yrs.
ago. It’s never been driven. I’m 73 & can barely work on it. Label me nuts.

I think that's a fair summary that some of us can concur with 😬 but sounds like you're getting there, so can't be bad :)

I'm the same age and mine has been torturing me for 49 years. However, it is all worth it once you start driving the car. Hope you get there soon.
