Living in Albuquerque unfortunately I lost my mechanic as he retired. Really miss him working on my Bertone. He was a original Fiat/Bertone trained mechanic. So I never questioned his work.

Does anyone know of anyone who works on a Bertone X19 in Albuquerque NM? I would appreciate any help or feedback. Im not sure how to do a post to get help
Anyone have familiarity with this area?

Just back from a successful total eclipse run to Texas and checking in. Wow. I didn't think there was another X 1/9 in Albuquerque. Sadly Since my go-to guy for back-up on tricky Fiat mechanical work retired, I have been pretty much doing all my own Fiat work. Hopefully it is not the same guy: Gordon of Gordon Imports,alfadoc@yahoo.com (505)265-0855. I did get another guy who showed up at one of the car shows who offered to do work: Fiat-Italian specialist Grant Stockdale, grantstockdale@gmail,com. There may be some information on his whereabouts at Euro Cylins, (505 720-6295). But honestly, there are few problems that the guys on this site can't walk you though. The advantage of doing your own work is the the old "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, and teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" thing. I would certainly be available to help where I can just for the opportunity to see another X 1/9 locally. I say Jonathan should post on this site and show us the Bertone.

Larry,
Thanks for the reply. I was using Gordon. He was truly amazing. Unfortunately he retired from service.
Hmm I wonder if Grant was the guy from Euro - Car on University Blvd. I used them when I returned to Albuquerque and had a 1980 Fiat X19.
Unfortunately if it's not a old Classic Mustang. I'm not too sure I'd be able to do much service..I've learned how check and add Air-conditioning fluid (as Gordon made the change over to non-freon)
My 1987 Bertone X19 is in amazing shape it runs better than any of the 3, I have owned. Gordon rebuilt the engine last year, new breaks, and all new door-seal rubber. its original color with a few sections re-painted. New Leather seats, power windows, antenna. I did add window tint and a CD player. I get tons of attention when I drive it anywhere.
It would totally pain me to get rid of it. But service is my issue.
Here's a few pictures of it.
Thanks again Mark, and Larry.
