Greetings and salutations!
Hello all-- after many years of absence I've returned for a hello. I see a few old timers still kicking around, and lots of new names. To the old timers in the Seattle area, I still have very fond memories of the party you threw in my honor back in 2000 or 2001 when I was out there for the week for work
Life has a way of taking over, and two little kids (now 5 and 18mos) take up most of my time now... but my 83 VS is still in my possession and running great. I will make an effort to be a regular again. Off to post a "wanted" for a parking brake handle as mine is broken. |

Ghost from the past...
DOC!
Lordy Man...been a coon's age since you vanished. Good to see ya still kicking...tho' you're still a pup. Congrats on adding Mrs. Doc and little Docs to the mix. Still got the Model T? Tenured professor by now I imagine? I'm retired now to a peaceful life of hibernation & restoring & racing Fiats.

Goodness you have a good memory!
Yes, and one Model T has a way of becoming three I'll have to take some pictures. You are correct-- tenure takes a lot of pressure off of me! |

Welcome back Doc - Glad to see you're back here. Fiat stays in your system no matter what you try to do to eradicate it

Got a bit'o history with Model Ts...
...and fond memories of tinkering/driving 'em during the '60s.
Running around back roads of central Calif in stripdown T. No body, just coupla military surplus seats bolted to piece of plywood. Drove T coupe in hometown Harvest Festival parade couple of times. Stalled it in front of judging stand...got out, hand cranked it, ran quick to adjust spark on column control, and motored on to round of applause. Good buddy's father had 5 Ts and liked to enter all of 'em. He loved to share his knowledge about Ts. And I loved to learn about 'em. Father is gone now, but the Ts are still in the family. Amazing to think the Ts were only 40 years old at that time, for they were truly primitive compared to 60s cars. Now in 2012, early Xs are nearly as old as Model T was then! Yes, please post pics & tales of your Model Ts!

Ross,
Have you visited McFeeter's Motor Museum in Forbes? I reckon he has a few cars that would be right up your alley. (...and an X as well) Regards, Brian |
