What bits do people need who are going to BFI?

tdskip

True Classic
I have a lot of random bits that I could bring with me to BFI.

Nice trunk lid
Fuse box
Spare arm rests
Headlight pods (doubtful, yes I know)
Working carb fans
Very nice rear window trim
Good exterior door top trim where the door meets the window
Lots of other bits....

What is BFI?

Sorry if this ? seems silly to most, but what is BFI? so I can decide if its worth the trip from Wa. state

Hi. BFI stands for The Best Of France and Italy. Not sure if I'd come from WA state but a really nice day out with some really great cars. And then there is us, which as long as I am not there is a plus. Ha.

(really good people down here kidding aside)

One item

I need the passenger side black rubber plug that sits on the vertical chrome separator between the two windows. You have?

Cheers

Hi. Wil check on that today and let you know. I have the driver side for sure (of course).

Grant, we've had people come from across the nation...

and Israel and Puerto Rico... and have said it was probably the best Italian-type car show they have ever attended, including FFO.

FFO = Fiat Freak Out... and from what I have seen as of late, the FFO is really getting BIG and glamorous! In Philly next year I think.

Closer to you is the Lake Howard Prairie get together held every Summer in Oregon as well as other events up in WA state as well.

BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES... is usually associated with the Waste Management... and if I recall correctly, Tony Soprano was a specialist in this area also.

HA!

Lastly... Hook up with our NorCal friends at FiatAmerica.com as they trek to BFI every year over a course of about a week. They are really good folks and I would love to take the trip with them myself!

Also abbrieviated BOFI

Of all the Italian car shows that I've attended, the Best of France & Italy show (BOFI) is by far my favorite, the reason being that just about everyone that displays or attends is pretty down to earth, so there isn't much of the pretention that can be prevalent at other larger venue shows. We have a similar show in Alameda each October, but it is maybe 1/5 the size of the BOFI show. I live in Napa, CA and have driven there, displayed my car, and driven home all in one day, which is a 900 mile drive and a 22 hour long day, and this show is totally worth it to me. So, if you have the time and energy, please attend, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

HAHAHA! I dunno... I wasn't gonna try and take off...

mine until I got yours!

I would assume so though... and I bet it takes a bit of work as its probably glued in with sealant as well.

Do be careful but persistent. I dunno if you have the entire track and window out... but you could bring that if it is and I'll play with it.

For an illustration... go here:

http://xwebforums.com/wiki/index.php?title=WorkshopManuals

Scroll down to "BODY", then click on "Internal and External Bodywork"...

Open, or save the file and wait for it to download... and then go to page 70-16 by scrolling down 3/4 of the way.

Item #10 is a PAD and appears to be just forced into the top of the window channel.

Hope it isn't too difficult... I think I would use two small, sharp screwdrivers... force them down the front and back side of the channel a bit... and carefully pry UP using both at the same time.

Hi. I have one side still for you but the other one flu k&d quality control as I looked at it more carefully. I'll bring it along so you can make sure it works for you.

Door

No Problem, as I have spares. I was just looking to get parts of the inner structure only. Hinges and some framing. So if the opposite side is junk, that's ok I can use it.

Anyone need headlight pods?
Rear trunk?
Intake manifolds?
Exterior door trim top finishing pieces (chrome in excellent shape)?
