Low Mileage
And ordered: (Haynes Manual on Weber carbs, including DMTR)

I've been collecting PDFs and diagrams for my 34 DMTR over the years, this should help, since I will likely be staying with carbs for the foreseeable future.

Would still like a book on the DCNF, but that is lower priority as I am not ready to instal the duals yet. I have the manifold, carbs, air cleaners, just need a phenolic plate(s) and the final piece of linkage to the valve cover. And well to clean up the carbs, as their state is unknown.

HA! My concern would be that the Hayne's folks...

would describe an overhaul like this...

1. Remove carburetor from the engine.
2. Disassemble carburetor.
3. Soak carburetor in cleaning solution.
4. Blow off parts and let dry.
5. Reassemble and reinstall in reverse order.

Hopefully I am WRONG!

haynes manual

as papa tony sez, remove, disassemble, reverse procedure. they are mostly (Haynes ,chilten) are from England, and as such are for the European market. also to mention that the writer and photographer send the pictures to the printer who has no idea as a mechanic and some of the slides (negatives)are reversed before the printing leading to a state of confusion. they are useful in as much as the writing, but pay heed to the pictures. sometimes they lie.
