I just heard from a friend that my local Italian Car guy Tino Agafors died suddenly Sunday. Those of you who have been to Xweb events at my house in Olympia may remember him as an older, very enthusiastic Fiat mechanic with a thick Italian accent who lived down the road a couple of miles. He would sometimes drop in after seeing many X1/9 and other cars drive past his place.

We often talked when we ran into each other at the local gas station, which was just down the road from his house/shop. He thought his collection of rusting cars and parts was quite valuable. He was an avid F-1 and rally racing enthusiast as well.

RIP Tino...

Tino sold Mac his first X...the Sunset Orange '75
now under restoration by Bob Brown.
Hence, Tino was essentially a midwife to Xweb's creation.

Condolences to family, friends, & Rodger Lawton,
who along with the rest of I-car community,
have lost a true old school treasure in Tino.

OMG this is the first that I have heard of this. Tino was such a warm giving soul. He introduced me to Mac and the whole SeaX crowd. He always gave freely of his time and helped me with my car several times over the last 25 years that I have known him. I will miss him.
