Fuel Line Tidy

So when I swapped the broken fuel line I couldn't leave the fittings rusty looking.

So the fittings, 2 banjos rings, 1 banjo bolt and the cap and odd fitting that goes onto the fuel pump, all soaked in cleaning vinegar. Then filed off the scratches and rough edges, sanded and then polished.
And this is how it came out.

The fuel line is temporary until the ASH stainless braided hose arrives, then it will be swapped over. But for now its all done.

Do not run the fuel line direct across from pump to filter without a loop for stress/strain relief. This runs a very high risk of having the the hose or banjo fitting to pump/filter connections being ripped out. Add a loop as noted in green on this altered image.

Bernice that is interesting information. I never considered it might need some flex.

When I remake with my stainless braided I will add some. For the moment I think it should be ok as both the fuel pump and the filter pivot, they are both on the same panel and its a relatively short run.

All that given, I will add a curve when I replace the line in a few weeks.
