Clutch not disengaging

Did you adjust the clutch

Just asking. Are you sure that you adjusted the clutch after you bled the system. If the adjusting nut on the slave push rod is close to the rear of the push rod you might try adjusting the adjusting the nut. You only need about .030 inch free play. A picture would help.

No issues so far...

I drove the car on the street with out any drama before tearing it apart to do all the work to it. The engine is very rev happy though.

So my guess about the tall and low pressure plates was correct... :woot:

I would have never believed that a stock style 1974 (early tall pressure plate) could have handled a .100" friction surface step height, AND fit in the confines of a 78 bell housing...

But OK, such is the way of franken-parts...!
